Matagumpay na nadakip ng mga miyembro ng PDEA ang anak ni Department of Justice (DOJ) Sec. Boying Remulla na si Juanito Jose Diaz Remulla III.
Nitong Oktubre 11 ay nadakip si Remulla sa gitna ng buy bust operation.
Nakuha kay Remulla ang 937 gramo ng ipinagbabawal na damo na nagkakahalaga ng mahigit 1.3-M pesos.
Inamin naman ni Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla na anak nga ng DOJ Secretary si Remulla III.
Sa kanyang inilabas na pahayag, sinabi ni Governor Remulla na hinding hindi sila mangingialam sa kasong isasampa ng mga otoridad laban sa kanyang pamangkin.
“I personally feel that while he deserves all of my empathy, there will be no support extended in terms of using my position in government. While he is family, my oath as Cavite Governor and as a Public Servant is paramount above any of his alleged transgressions.” ani Gov. Remulla.
Pinasalamatan din nito ang PDEA sa matagumpay na pagkakahuli sa kanyang pamangkin.
“We would like to thank the PDEA for doing their job. We were never informed of their operation and they were correct in doing so. There should be no fear nor favor in the conduct of their duties.” sabi pa ng gobernador.
“If in any way, any family member who tries to influence the prosecution of this case then I will make sure to expose the matter right way.” dagdag niya pa.
Inamin naman ni Remulla na nasaktan ang kanyang 87-anyos na ina sa nangyari.
